Directed by Tiago Pimentel and written by Lia Fietz, the short film tells the story of Ana, a young Portuguese woman whose arrival in the United States takes an unexpected turn when a routine stop for questioning escalates into a silent and oppressive trial. The narrative addresses, in a disturbing and contemporary manner, themes such as individual freedom, morality and institutional power, reflecting tensions that run through today’s world.
This distinction recognises the quality and relevance of PASSPORT, which thus continues its distinguished journey beyond borders.
