SPI Projects Nominated for the New York Festivals – TV & Film Awards
Considered one of the most prestigious international awards in the audiovisual industry, the New York Festivals – TV & Film Awards have announced the shortlist of projects selected for the final round.
RED MOON – NEW GENERATION and COLD HAVEN, both produced by SPi, have been nominated for the 2026 edition in the categories of Entertainment Program: Children’s/Youth and Entertainment Special: Drama Special, respectively.
Produced for OPTO (SIC) and Prime Video, RED MOON – NEW GENERATION draws inspiration from the universe that captivated thousands of fans in 2010 and returns, 16 years later, with a new generation and new threats that put the balance between different supernatural species at risk.
COLD HAVEN, a co-production with Iceland’s Glassriver for RTP and Símmin, marks the first partnership between Portugal and Iceland, blending Nordic noir with Southern European influences. This psychological thriller follows the investigation into the violent death of a woman on a remote island in Iceland, uncovering deep secrets and tensions within an isolated community.
RED MOON – NEW GENERATION and COLD HAVEN thus join many other SPTV Group productions that have previously been nominated and awarded at this festival, further expanding the international reach of Portuguese productions.
The event annually honors the best television and film productions worldwide and is judged by a panel of more than 200 industry experts. Winners will be announced at the Storytellers Gala, a virtual event taking place on May 21.
