CODEX 632 - First images revealed at Comic Con Portugal

At the 8th edition of Comic Con Portugal, the series CODEX 632, the new co-production of RTP and Globo Play, produced by SPi, was presented.

This panel included José Fragoso (Programming Director of RTP1), José Rodrigues dos Santos (writer of the book "Codex 632"), Pedro Lopes (author of the series), Sérgio Graciano (director), Paulo Pires (plays Tomás Noronha, the main character) and Ricardo Pereira (Director of Globo Portugal). Leonor Belo and, digitally, Betty Faria and Ana Sofia Martins, who are also part of the cast of the series, joined the conversation at the Golden Theatre.The first images of the series were also revealed.

CODEX 632 is an adaptation of José Rodrigues dos Santos' best-seller of the same name, and tells the story of Tomás Noronha, a history professor specialized in cryptology, who is hired to decode the research of his mentor, who died in unclear circumstances. This story, written 17 years ago, now gains new layers in its plot. "We went in search of themes that are on the agenda, both in Brazil and in Portugal, from gender identity issues to colonialism, among others," says Pedro Lopes. 

Scheduled to premiere in 2023, CODEX 632 is a series consisting of six 50-minute episodes that address questions about Christopher Columbus' identity and the time of the Discoveries. Know more here!
