RED MOON - NEW GENERATION already has a release date!

OPTO, SIC's streaming platform, in partnership with Prime Video, announces the premiere date of Red Moon: New Generation, the highly anticipated return of one of the most iconic series on Portuguese television. The return of the youth series premieres simultaneously on October 31 on OPTO SIC and Prime Video.

Inspired by the universe that won thousands of fans in 2010, this new generation of Red Moon promises to honor the original DNA of the series, now with a more contemporary and ambitious approach, which aims to cross borders and assert Portuguese fiction with new audiences.

The cast brings together names well known to fans of the original series, such as Mafalda Luís de Castro (Isabel), Rui Porto Nunes (Afonso), António Camelier (Henrique), and Catarina Mago (Beatriz). They are joined by new protagonists who will mark this new generation: the protagonist Inês Pires Tavares (Sofia), Bia Wong (Sun), Rui Pedro Silva (Tomás), and Henrique Mello (Lucas).

The series also features renowned Portuguese actors, including Rita Bretão (Beni), Miguel Damião (Otelo), Sofia Arruda (Teresa), André Leitão (Francisco), Carolina Basto (Alana), Carolina Carvalho (Eunice), Digo Fernandes (Dinis), Fernando Rodrigues (Tadeu), Gonçalo Botelho (Joaquim), Henrique de Carvalho (Hélio), Oceana Basílio (Brígida), Gerson Sanca (Valter) e Rui Unas (Sancho).

In Red Moon: New Generation, sixteen years after leaving the past behind, Afonso and Isabel now live a quiet life in Sintra. But everything changes when their daughter Sofia becomes the center of a new supernatural threat. Gifted with special powers and unknowingly linked to an ancient war, Sofia will have to face hidden secrets and a dark force that threatens humanity.

Produced by SPi, this is a national blockbuster that reinforces OPTO SIC's commitment to Portuguese fiction and symbolizes a new stage in the way Portuguese stories reach the public.
