ALGODÃO A FRIO premieres on RTP Play on 23 March

The SPi-produced series, ALGODÃO A FRIO, premieres next Monday, 23 March, on RTP Play. Consisting of six episodes lasting between 25 and 30 minutes, this is an intense and gripping story that promises to captivate viewers from start to finish.

It all begins with a violent hit-and-run that sets off a chain of unexpected events. Sara, played by Diana Sousa Lara, is the sole witness and makes an impulsive decision: to hide the victim in a self-service laundrette. What begins as an act of compassion quickly turns into a nightmare when Jorge, played by Paulo Calatré, appears determined to find the victim for obscure reasons. Trapped inside the laundrette, seven strangers find themselves caught up in a web of tension, secrets and life-or-death decisions.

As the episodes unfold, the atmosphere becomes increasingly claustrophobic and unpredictable. Amidst suspicions, disappearances and the revelation that there may be a bag containing millions of euros hidden on the premises, the group spirals into a vortex of mistrust and ambition. Nuno, played by Vítor Silva Costa, emerges as a key figure in this narrative, whilst each character is pushed to the limits of their convictions and choices.

Among the seven strangers trapped in the laundrette, the following stand out: Noémia, played by Catarina Avelar, a resilient woman who has been through a great deal; Américo, played by Dinarte Branco, a security guard with a strong sense of duty and justice; Santos Milhões, played by Rodrigo Saraiva, an eccentric figure obsessed with luck and money; and Fáfá, played by Ana Marta Ferreira, a young woman who appears superficial but has an unexpectedly manipulative side.

With an intense narrative, strong characters and a tension-filled atmosphere, ALGODÃO A FRIO establishes itself as a fast-paced series full of twists and turns.

Don’t miss the premiere on 23 March on RTP Play.
