Synopsis

THE LONGEST VOYAGE

A journey that began 500 years ago across the sea, with its limits and depths… and which today continues in space.

In the near future, a group of women and men will take a journey into the unknown. This journey will be a huge human and technological challenge... For many, the journey to Mars will be the longest and most epic journey ever imagined... but is it really so?

2019, as the World prepares for new space odysseys, marks the fifth centenary of the greatest technical challenge achieved in the Renaissance period: the first circumnavigation voyage of Fernão de Magalhães and Juan Sebastián Elcano.

Although it is difficult to imagine, between the first trip around the world by sea and the space adventure there are many points in common: dreams, sacrifices, adventures... and, above all, Man's journey towards a new frontier, further and further. deep.

THE LONGEST JOURNEY seeks, from the present, the keys to the past and the future, offering a dialogue between historians and scientists to tell us a unique and exciting story.
