SENHOR PRESIDENTE is a three-part documentary series, a portrait of Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, the always controversial and provocative President of Futebol Clube do Porto.
For the first time, Pinto da Costa has been given access to his private life, a first-person account, with the participation of his family, friends and many figures he has crossed paths with in his life, such as José Mourinho, Florentino Péerez, Joan Laporta, Angel Gil, Futre, Madjer, Deco, Pepe or the former President of the Republic Ramalho Eanes.
That's 86 years of a life of obstacles that he has turned into victories, both on and off the pitch.
Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa is a leader, a seducer and a lover of sport, women, fado, animals and the arts. He grew up backstage at the theater - his family owned the São João theater - but it was soccer that gave him the stage and fame. His speeches against Lisbon's centralism made him a central figure in the North and regionalization. His name became synonymous with a club and a city that would take the soccer world by storm from the mid-1980s onwards, winning the biggest European and intercontinental awards.
But who, after all, is this man, loved and hated, but always fascinating, who has led the Porto soccer club for over 40 years, and who has become the president with the most titles won in world soccer?
